People believe owls are wise.
I don’t know why. They catch mice and can see in the dark. So can we, but nobody has ever pointed at Rory and said, “There goes a great thinker.”
Perhaps it’s because owls sit quietly and look important.
I could do that. But if I spotted a critter, I would have to interrupt my thinking and deal with it.
Wisdom is all very well, but somebody has to do the work.
Still, I would like to know who decided owls were wise in the first place.
Probably an owl.
